The Corner Food Co-operative

What is The Corner?

The Corner is a not-for-profit and non-surplus-generating food co-operative that aims to provide University students, staff and members of the wider Aberdeen community with a range of ethical, affordable products. We sell a vast array of wholefoods, snacks, cooking essentials, drinks and toiletries. The Corner is run solely by volunteers and we are committed to sustainability and affordability – the majority of our products are organic and/or fair-trade.

Where is The Corner?

The Corner is located in the Johnston Central Refectory on College bounds – right across from our co-operative cousins at Shared Planet Café!

When is it open?

The Corner is open from Monday to Friday between 12pm and 4pm during term-time. We will be closed during holidays and examination periods.

How can I volunteer?

There are many ways to get involved with The Corner. You can email us, send us a message on our Facebook page, tweet us, or simply drop into the shop and speak to one of our friendly volunteers to sign up! There are many benefits to volunteering with The Corner, including: eligibility for Saltire Awards; retail experience to put on your CV; the opportunity to get involved in the co-operative movement and activism on campus!
